About Us

The Clothing Warehouse was founded in 1995, and as a family-run business sells affordable recycled clothing to the wider community in Berkshire. As the business grew, it needed more textiles so working in partnership with local charities, it procured clothing bank sites across the area.

Supporting Charities

Situated in Newbury, Berkshire, on the Kennet River, the business is a bustling Aladdin’s cave of shoppers hunting for bargains. All of our clothing is collected from the clothing banks throughout Berkshire, it is then sorted into categories and the very best quality items are sold in the warehouse. Currently, we support  several charities and organisations.

Supporting Overseas Charities

Whatever textiles we don’t use are sold on to a third-party and shipped abroad to underdeveloped countries. All textiles are paid for per tonne and the money goes directly to support our chosen charities. What’s more, we pay an above average price for all our unwanted clothes and shoes.

Passionate about What We Do

Here at The Clothing Warehouse Ltd, we are very passionate about recycling and think it is an essential part of modern living. Last year alone, we collected 100 tonnes of clothes and shoes and donated more than £40,000 to good causes. As well as the three main charities, we support many smaller organisations, including local Mencap, schools, churches, village halls, and recreation grounds.

Community Projects

All of the important communities and projects mentioned benefit greatly from our business. To date, we’ve generated more than £250,000 for good causes and hopefully, this will continue to be a success. Not only providing affordable clothes and shoes to the local community but helping the less fortunate on a wider scale.
